So the journey begins with a request from Antartic Logistics & Expeditions. “Can you help with a survey for a new blue ice runway…? The clue is in the name where we need it!”

“Yes!” was my first response, and then followed the many questions about what is required, where, when, how big…..?

This is my first blog.

It will probably be easy to guess that!

Encouraged by Class Of Your Own to record and share my upcoming trip to Antartica, my blog will hopefully inspire others, and especially young DEC students (and their teachers!), to follow their dreams. It doesn’t matter how long it takes to achieve them. It’s always possible to reach those goals – where there’s a will, there’s a way…
